Are you making a big move? If so, this is the perfect tool for you. We all know moving can be very hectic, to the point you forget to do some things that later you wish you had. We have all forgotten at times to clean something before packing or even something as simple as labeling boxes. A Moving Checklist is handy in times like this, but usually it's the last thing on our mind when moving because most of us typically think, "Oh, this won't be that difficult to deal with." Well, I'm here to assist you with your Moving Checklist task and a couple of other things to keep in mind when moving.

"Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance." Just like when you were going to school, proper preparation will pay off in the end when moving. Adequate preparation comes through correctly packing, sorting, cleaning, labeling, and stacking. The poor performance comes through either not doing things or doing them incorrectly.

Do You Need It?

Before moving, sort through your things and determine what you can throw away, what could be sold or given away, and what you honestly want to keep. Once you have the things separated, wash any clothes you plan on keeping or giving away. To get rid of things, you can post on Facebook Marketplace, the Neighborhood app, or drop the items off at a donation center.

Cleaning

Cleaning everything before you put it in boxes for storing or even moving into your new home will pay off in the long run. You don't want to move into your new home and bring the dirt and dust from your former place, especially during a time when cleanliness is a must.

Wash all clothes you plan on storing and spray with a fabric-friendly bug repellent to ensure their longevity. Bubble wrap anything fragile and place anything you wouldn't want dusty in plastic covers. Also, make sure if you use boxes, they are in good condition and sealed with actual packing tape to keep any small insects out.
